This is another one of those, "Why haven't I covered this before?" instances, yet, as I observe how much better my playing, production, and overall quality of my videos have gotten over the years, I'm glad to finally do songs I haven't yet thought to do even though they are favorites of mine. "A Little More Time With You," by James Taylor is one of my favorite JT songs and features that signature beat I love to play, the half-time shuffle.
This was the last album my uncle recorded with JT before he passed away, so it has a special place in my heart. I never got confirmation, but I'm pretty sure he recorded that album with the Cherry Red Lacquer DW kit with Brass Hardware that I inherited from him. I believe he also used a DW snare on this recording, rather than the Black Beauty he always used in other recordings. I probably should have set that kit up for this video, but I am lazy and my sound is so well dialed in right now that if it ain't broke...But I am planning to do another song from this album in the future where I definitely will be using the red DW kit. So stay tuned!
This one also features a pretty awesome harmonica solo by none other than the great Stevie Wonder. I'm not usually a harmonica fan, but there's no denying the talent and just overall amazingness of Stevie! I hope you enjoy this one.
