Here is another Disney drum cover dedicated to my personal Disney princess, my daughter. This one is from the Raya and the Last Dragon Soundtrack, titled "Lead the Way," performed by Jhené Aiko.
This one was actually a lot of fun. I finally was able to put my new Roland TM-2 Drum Module to use along with my ddrum triggers on the bass drum and snare. To make a long story short, I am already using all 8 inputs on my Behringer Uphoria UMC1820 interface and the journey of adding more channels to my studio was long and arduous. After many different trials and errors, I was finally able to get a hold of a Behringer Digital UltraGain ADA8200 8-channel PreAmp, which gives me a total of 16 tracks.
For this particular song, I used the preloaded sounds in the TM-2 module and added a boomy low kick as well as a hand clap to the snare rim and a muffled hi-pitched snare tone to the head. The final product is a little raw and not perfect so I'll have to go in and tweak some settings. But overall I thought it came out pretty good and this whole trigger thing is pretty darn cool!
