#METALMARCH24 - Day 7: "Freak on a Leash" by Korn - Drum Cover

Welcome to the inaugural #METALMARCH24, brought to you by @RichRawDawgDrums & @KMKanDrum where drummers across the world post #drumcovers of their favorite #heavymetal songs throughout March 2024! Post your metal drum cover, tag us, and use the hashtag #METALMARCH now!

Day 7 (my last day of Metal March) features "Freak on a Leash" by the creators of NuMetal, (IMO) Korn! Man, I remember being blown away by their first album back in high school. It was like a hard slap in the face. And although I wasn't a fan of David Silveria's drumming, man was I really into the rest of the band. I loved Jonathan Davis' voice and of course, Fieldy's bass was just so sick sounding!

SIDE NOTE: I used my side snare as my main snare on this one, since Silveria's snare is so high-pitched. The snare I used is a DW 5x12 Maple Design Series with a Blue Mother of Pearl wrap.

Anyway, here I am harping on Silveria's drumming, and in my cover, I pretty much play what he's playing in the original recording. He did get a lot better from their debut to this album, but to me, Ray Luzier is just the perfect drummer for them. I love everything that guy does! I hope you enjoy my cover and thank you for tuning into METAL MARCH!!!!!!!!! \m/
