Here is my drum cover and karaoke performance of "Pink Thing" from the XTC album Oranges and Lemons. What an amazing song! Some point to "Mayor of Simpleton" (another fabulous song and one of my favorites) or "King for a Day" as the hits from this album, but I believe "Pink Thing" is the best one, and quite possibly one of XTC's best songs ever.
This adds to the collection of XTC songs I've covered, as requested by my amazing subscriber, Miko! I may have to create a new playlist for them!
I did my best to emulate the amazing voice of Andy Partridge. Also, Terry Chambers had already left the band by the time they recorded this, and so, XTC hired Pat Mastelotto to do the drumming, and he did not disappoint on this track! I tried to do my best while also adding a little of my style as well.
