Welcome to STP-A-THON! I am releasing 10 Stone Temple Pilots drum covers throughout this awesome month of June 2022! Quite possibly my favorite band from the 90s, STP rode the grunge wave even though they were from San Diego instead of Seattle. And in my humble opinion, they were better than any of those bands from up north. AND they hold up better as time goes by.
Don't get me wrong, I love me some Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, and I guess I'll mention Nirvana—even though I'm not really a fan. But something about STP stands out. Maybe it's because they retained some of the blues roots that put the roll in rock n' roll. Or maybe it's Scott Weiland's amazing voice, and untimely passing, that cemented them into rock lore.
Whatever it is, I want to showcase it, here, during STP-A-THON!
Today is DAY 5 and I'll be covering, "Plush," off the 1992 album, "Core." Please enjoy!!!
