Finally!!! I know YouTube has been a lot more lax on what music they allow on their platform lately. I've been seeing a lot more Led Zep on there and the like. But when I saw "You Make Loving Fun" on the Drumless YouTube channel, I just had to cover it.
I've been wanting to cover Fleetwood Mac ever since I started this channel. They are definitely on my Top-5 All-time Favorite band list. For me, personally, there is just so much to like. And ironically, the one thing I don't care much for is probably everyone else's favorite...Stevie Nicks.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy her background and harmony vocals a lot. And a few of the songs she wrote and sang lead vocals on are, of course, classics, but I am through and through a huge fan of Christine McVie. Her songwriting and singing, as well as piano and keyboards, are what make this band exceptional. "Everywhere" is on my Top-5 list of favorite songs ever. This song is probably on my Top-20.
In fact, if I had to rank the members of the Mac, it would be:
5. Stevie Nicks
4. Lindsey Buckingham
4. John McVie
4. Mick Fleetwood
1. Christine McVie
That's how much I respect and love Christine (Perfect) McVie as a musician and songwriter.
Also, Mick Fleetwood owns a restaurant in Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii called Fleetwood's on Front St. My family and I go to Maui every year and stay in nearby Ka'anapali but I have yet to dine at his establishment. Maybe that'll have to change in 2023. I heard he frequents the restaurant often. Might be cool to run into him!
