First of all, shoutout to @RichRawDawgdrums for coming up with the idea of doing a Halloween #drumcover because I would not have done so if he hadn't suggested it!
Next, I am not a big Halloween person, but my kids are and my son is totally into Spiderman right now for some reason. He is dressing up as Spidey this Halloween, so I thought it was apt for me to wear a Spiderman mask for this video.
Thirdly, I mulled over quite a few Halloween-themed songs for this--the usual suspects like "Monster Mash," the Ghostbusters theme song, "This is Halloween" from Nightmare Before Christmas, etc. But I thought I'd do a song from one of my all-time favorite bands, led by one of my all-time favorite composers who made a living out of creepy-themed music. In fact, I believe Danny Elfman and Oingo Boingo's "Dead Man's Party" was a huge catalyst to Halloween's popularity boost in the late 80s/early 90s. So, I picked that one because it just makes so much sense.
