DRUM COVER: "Could You Be Loved" by Bob Marley

This is probably the least reggae song from his catalog. "Could You Be Loved" has more of a disco-type drum beat with a 4-on-the-floor bass drum and a funk-shuffle triplet hi-hat pattern. The bass line is so freaking amazing, and the guitars and organ do a great job of accompanying the rhythm section. Not sure if this song was an influence on Stevie Wonder or vice versa but there are definitely similarities there.

This song is my favorite of his. There's an air of darkness to it, or maybe seriousness is more like it. His other songs are either super happy hippy love sounding or sappy sad sounding. This one is like the Goldilocks of his repertoire. I hope you enjoy my version, which is very different than the original but without compromising the feel of the song...at least, I think. Let me know what you think in the comments!
