#METALMARCH24 Day 4: "Crazy Train" Ozzy Osbourne

Welcome to the inaugural #METALMARCH24, brought to you by @RichRawDawgDrums & @KMKanDrum where drummers across the world post #drumcovers of their favorite #heavymetal songs throughout March 2024! Post your metal drum cover, tag us, and use the hashtag #METALMARCH now!

Joining me on this one is my go-to guitarist for almost everything, J-Gabz from Fired Up Frets! He does metal solos like no one else, and to quote him, "Every day is Metal March for Joey!" Yes, he refers to himself in the third person LOL!

But if I'm being honest, I am not a fan of Ozzy. I never got into Black Sabbath. I just think it's all fake, which is fine. I'm sure there are a ton of musicians who are playing a role or character out there. I have a hankering suspicion that most of the Hip-Hop artists out there are just playing the role. And it is totally fine and up to each individual whether or not to like these artists.

Or maybe he is totally legit. Maybe he really does satanic shit like eat bats and sacrifice animals on the reg; I don't know. Either way, it's not my cup of tea, and when I set out to do this Metal March idea, I wanted to try a couple of songs I normally wouldn't, you know, to get out of my comfort zone. This was one of the songs I settled on after talking about it with a couple of friends who are total metalheads. But as I began learning it and playing along I realized it's just a disco song with distorted guitars and a metal guitar solo. But if you listen to the rhythm section and even the vocal melodies, it is totally disco! I thought that was hilarious!

Anyway, I hope you enjoy my version of this song, and please come back for the next installment of METALMARCH24!
