Believe it or not, "Modern Love" is my first David Bowie drum cover. First off, I had no idea that Omar Hakim was the studio drummer for this song. That's awesome. Second, I added a lot more of my own style to this song than I normally do, just because the beat lends itself well to punk beats and fills...and you guys know how much I love #punkdrumming LOL!
I plan to do the other two megahits off this album soon too (China Girl and Let's Dance). This song trio is one of my 80s faves! I hope you enjoy this retro-punk drum cover! Let me know what you think in the comments.
