WELCOME to NEW WAVE WEEK 2022 on KMKanDrum!
From Nov 7 to 14, I will be releasing one song a day of my favorite New Wave tunes from the 80s. Now, in no way is this list complete. There are tons of songs I wanted to cover. So I kept them to ones I loved, that I could play drums to as well as sing somewhat well. There were bands like Siouxsie & The Banshees or The B-52s that I wanted to cover, as well as New Order, OMD, The Cars...I mean I can go on and on. But these are just a small sample of New Wave songs and bands that helped define my musical taste and style.
For Day 8, the last day of New Wave Week, I'm closing out with, "I Melt With You," by Modern English. What a great 80s song! Like saving the best bite of steak with a little bit of charred fat on it for last, this song will leave the savor of 80s New Wave in your mouth for a pleasant while!
