#PUNKWEEK24 Day 3: "Radio" by Osker

Welcome to the Third-Annual PUNK WEEK event where YouTube drummers across the world participate in creating Punk Rock Drum Covers and posting them for a moshing, head-banging, anti-establishment week in January!

Today is Day 3 and I harken back to the days when I was playing live shows, recording, and drum teching for Osker. I've done a few Osker covers over the years—in fact, my very first YouTube drum cover video was "Anchor" way before this channel existed.

I remember when they parted ways with Phil while they were recording their second album, "Idle Will Kill." I believe Phil is on at least one song on that record, possibly two. But then they hired Ty Smith to record drums and me to be their studio drum tech. Ty (Guttermouth) is on a majority of the songs, but Devon and David weren't feeling Ty's very technical and mechanical feel on some of the songs. They wanted more groove and feel, and so they hired me to record those songs. Then they hired me to be their drummer for live shows. I did that until they disbanded about ½ a year later, while on tour for "Idle."

Anyway, all to say that I had to learn the songs on "Treatment 5" and really loved "Radio." So I present it to you now and hope you love it too!

CHECK OUT "Idle Will Kill" - I recorded drums for tracks 7, 8, 12-14.
