Opener: I was fortunate enough to attend Game 4 of the NLDS at Citizens Bank Park where I was able to witness the Philadelphia Phillies eliminate the 2021 World Series Champion Atlanta Braves. I had some pretty awesome seats to probably the most electrifying game I've seen to date. I was at Staples Center for Game 4 of the 2012 Stanley Cup Finals (where the LA Kings lost, but went on to win the Cup in Game 6); Game 6 of the 2001 First Round NHL Playoffs where the LA Kings eliminated the Detroit Red Wings; and a slew of LA Dodgers playoff games, but nothing was quite as loud and raucous as this game. It was pretty intense and amazing, and the Phillies inched one step closer to the World Series with this win.
So, I decided to play "Closer" by The Urge and don my Phillies hat so that I can wish them luck against the San Diego Padres (who upset my LA Dodgers) in the NLCS.
The Urge was a band I was able to see live a long time ago in Hollywood, CA. Their punk, hardcore, ska style is one I loved back in the day and their drummer was very solid. I hope you enjoy this one and Let's Go Phillies!
