Welcome to Third Eye Blind February! All month I will be releasing drum covers and karaoke performances of one of my favorite bands of all time!
This is Part 7 of an 8-part series—in other words, two videos per week—dedicated to IMO one of the most underrated bands of the 90s and 2000s.
When I first heard "Losing A Whole Year" on 106.7FM KROQ in Los Angeles, I fell in love. Then, they released "Semi-Charmed Life" and it instantly became my favorite song. Since then, they have released seven (7) albums, four of which I absolutely love. Though they are really only known for their first album and a couple of songs off the second, all four that I adore contain some amazing material in them.
If you get a chance to listen to my original music, you will notice that they have a huge influence on my songwriting.
"Wake For Young Souls" from the album, "Out of the Vein." This song would be almost pure pop if it wasn't for the ska-style guitars and acoustic drums. I absolutely love singing this one. I feel like my voice is fit for the range. The drums are pretty straight and easy.
